The transmission line is an important tool for power transmission,most transmission line are exposed to the field environment, in the long-term effect of the natural environment the line is easily damaged, requiring workers to continue to monitor and maintain. The traditional method of manual inspection to check the line have the defect of hard working environment, labor-intensive, ineffective, low accuracy, and complex field and weather conditions may be dangerous to staff.The paper proposes the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle intelligent to check transmission line, staff control Unmanned Aerial Vehicle patrol transmission lines in the distance, wireless image transmission transfer the captured images to the ground station, ground station system identify line defect by image defect recognition algorithm. When the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle flight the method based on the image position markers provide obstacle avoidance method. By measuring the distance between the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and the target provide the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle a viable option autonomous obstacle avoidance, and improve safety of patrol lines. Transmission line image defect recognition technology is mainly for identifying insulators and conductors defect. Image recognition technology automatic identify the defect of transmission line, avoiding the bias and errors of the human eye to identify images, and improving inspection efficiency.By image defect recognition algorithms, ground station control subsystem identify the pictures, which is identifying insulator blew and leads off shares, scattered stocks. Image preprocessing, image analysis,image recognition, image processing,automatic identify lines defects, achieving intelligent operation.Avoid human judgment disadvantage,and reduce the intensity of transmission line staff. Timely and comprehensively detect the problems,and enhance the efficiency of inspection and standardization, and bring greater social benefits.
