The growing expansion of college education and the number of students, combining with the active thoughts, as well as sharp collision between Chinese and Western culture, college students’ outlook of life, values, world are largely affected by usury nature of market economy. So, the students’ management work can’t follow the traditional way, and the concept of people-oriented must be established. Continuous reform and innovation management should be taken into action.Under the new environment, new management methods can meet the requirements of university students’ management work. Because of the big number of college students, and the calling for the flexible methods of students’ management work, the student management work is painstaking. Providing a set of effective tools to reduce the workload for the teachers is quite necessary as well as improving methods for the management of students. This set of tools aims to reduce the workload for the documents and information management for universities.According to the practical needs of students’ management in universities, combining relevant theoretical knowledge of software engineering, this system is the application of computer and network technology. It is implemented by the feasibility study, demand analysis, function analysis, outline design, detailed design and software testing process. Several important objectives are achieved: uniform storing of students’ data and information of Maan Shan Vocational College; sharing of students’ data and information of Maan Shan Vocational College; timely releases of information and data on management; convenient query of students’ data and information; effective query and statistics for students’ information and data.To achieve the non-functional requirements of openness, extensibility, flexibility and stability, this system uses NET MVC 、ORM、 three layer architecture, and the IoC’s B/S solution.
