Because of the diffraction of the high energy laser, it forms the circular spot in its propagation. However, the algorithm is mainly suitable for the solid and round spot in the quality analysis system of the beam.The processing effect to the circular spot is poor.Especially, it can’t get the ring structure of light and dark to the circular spot. It has brought great inconvenience to the quality analysis to the circular spot. So it is urgent to the design and implement of a dedicated hardware platform and software system to the problem of the quality analysis to the circular spot.The main work of the thesis is the design and implementation of the processing and analysis system to the circular spot. Follows:Firstly, the scheme of the system has been improved accordingly in order to take advantage of the optical test platform and ensure that all of the terminal equipment work within the range of the appropriate energy. Meanwhile, the darkroom, the parallel optics and the module of synchronous control has been designed in the thesis. And these designs and improvements have been implemented.Secondly, the corresponding algorithm to the solid and round spot has been improved in order to deal with the circular spot better. In the thesis, the outer contour of the circular spots has been extracted by Ostu of dual threshold for the feature of the‘strong inner and weak outer’ background to the circular spot. The concept of the introverted characteristics has been introduced in the algorithm futher. Meanwhile, the method combined the Mean Shift algorithm and region merging has been applied in order to extract the inner contour of the circular spot for the fearture of the smaller differences among the internal pixels of the circular spot.Once more, the fuzzy enhancement algorithm based on the fuzzy contrast has been applied to strengthen the spot for identifing the contour and texture of the spot more easily for the human vision. The wavelet threshold denoising and the detection and processing of the isolated point have been applied for the accuracy of the calculated parameters to the circular spots.The applied of the wavelet threshold denoising can reduce the impact of noise on the processing and analysis of the circular spot.Finally, the uniformity of intensity with annulus and the contrast of intensity with annulus based on the uniformity of intensity and the contrast of intensity for the qualityanalysis of the circular spots has been put forward in the thesis.These two indicators are more suitable for the quality analysis of the circular spots. And the concept of the continuity of the edge to the circular spot has been introduced to analyse the quality of the beam better. So the quality of high energy laser can be analysed further.In the thesis, the spot area and the internal ring structure for the circular spots has been got. What’s more, the denoising result and the display enhancement result for the circular spot has been got. In the thesis, the quality of the circular spot is analysed from the different angles with the evenness of circular spots, the contrast ratio of circular spots and the edge continutity of the ring inside the spots. So the result is more accurate.The quality of the circular spot reflects the quality of the equipment to the high energy laser. So it can promote the further improvement of the lasers.
