The coast defence radar is responsible for combat readiness duty around all the year, that is an important vehicle to obtain maritime intelligence. However, the application of coast defence radar has been shown its problem of the weak supporting for training equipment, which is causing a serious impact for manipulator to recognizing the radar equipment and weakens the capability and efficiency of radar system. Therefore, the complexity of radar equipment and the lack of army’s safeguard equipment lead to the training and practical in reality cannot be solved perfectly; the complex training subjects, miscellaneous content, and existing technical information cannot meet the demand of the army, which means the developing of corresponding equipment for technical support is necessary. Based on the characteristics of mission, distribution of the radar, the demands of unit training, technical support and other requirements, it is necessary to develop the coast defence radar integrated application system. It has an important significance for the army’s training to achieve the informationization, automation and high efficiency.The integrated application system of coastal defence radar is a comprehensive system for radar simulation and radar troops training. The radar simulation function needs to display the background information, the then shows target information via the radar monitor fast and accurately. Therefore, it needs high-level performance to handling the data. This topic mainly researches the data management and date display of coast defense radar application system; and then analyse the data type, storage and application technology of the spatial data in object relational database. Thirdly, the space object is constructed, and these spatial data will be used to organize radar’s displaying data. Finally, the spatial data model of the system is established.The implementation of coast defence radar training data management system uses the object relational database PostgreSQL with open source to storage and manage the data. Therefore, data model of the system is created. An extended PostGIS of PostgreSQL is used to introduce spatial data, and it helps to realize the joint management of spatial data and attribute data in the spatial database. Visual Studio 2010 and MFC are beening used as the development tool and framework separately. The development of GIS is included, and integrated into the coastal radar comprehensive application of training system. According to the research of the conversion between the projected coordinate systems of space data and the coordinate in windows equipment, the filling area algorithm is calculated, and finally, the visualization of spatial data is achieved.
