Along with the development of the technology such as computer vision and photoelectron, three-dimensional visualization technology has been applied widely. According to the requirement of the intelligent inspection system of the cryogenic insulation cylinder of Changzhou City, this thesis was based on a three dimensional imaging inspection system.The present situation and development trend of the research on the 3D detection technology at home and abroad was analyzed in this thesis. Aiming at the cryogenic insulated cylinders with the features of smooth stainless steel surface and the size of larger, the scanning motion control platform has been designed by using three CCD cameras simultaneous to shot cryogenic insulation cylinder surface from different angles. Due to the intelligent inspection system of the cryogenic insulation cylinder for detecting requirements not high precision but faster detection speed, the mathematical model of linear camera has been established and it can quickly obtain the work piece 3D point cloud data. Making a comparative analysis of various calibration methods, the thesis choosed a calibration method of Zhang Zhengyou. Application of 3D reconstruction technology, we can complete the three-dimensional visualization of the workpiece.In this thesis, the design of cryogenic insulation cylinder 3D imaging detection system has been tested in the laboratory, which detected the stainless steel pillar body. In addition the feasibility of the design was verified. The three-dimensional imaging inspection system of low temperature insulation cylinder has a certain practical application value.
