Metal sulfides as an important narrow-band-gap semiconductor material, becoming a extraordinary materials because of its unique physical and chemical properties as well as its geometry and size effects. Therefore the controlling of crystal size and morphology metal sulfide, and regulation of physical and chemical properties have important theoretical and practical significance. Metal sulfides in optics, catalysis, sensing, and solar energy batteries electromagnetism and other fields have a wide range of applications. Its application in sensors attracted more and more attention of researchers. In order to study the metal sulfide applications in sensors, the paper prepared by hydrothermal different metal sulfides, and the use of the aqueous phase doped graphene material prepared by the method of modified metal sulfides. The main research is as follows:Hydrothermal method were used to synthesize different metal sulfides(ZnS、CuS、 CdS、PbS). The use of Scanning electron microscope and X-ray powder diffraction analysis on the crystal structure components, grain size and morphology were characterized. The metal sulfide gas sensor made, components showed better gas sensing properties, its gas sensing response characteristics with detection of gas concentrations increase significantly improved, and its selectivity for alcohol outstanding. This provides a basis theory for future research.Synthetised by Hummers method, the grapheme is doped in the different metal sulfides, which form new composite materials. Using Scanning electron microscope、 X-ray powder diffraction and other analytical tools, the conclusion that graphene added does not change the structure of metal sulfide is found by the comparative characterization. Both tests found the same gas sensing voltage requirement for heating, and the highest sensitivity to ethanol. However, different metal sulfides have different optimum doping ratio, When the optimal doping ratio, get the biggest increase sensitivity, effectively improve the practicability of the sensor.
