The advance of human’s information and communication technologies are been leaded by the transistors since it had been invented. Today’s mainstream transistors mainly consisted by silicon transistors. But it high-cost for fabrication and complex process always bring some difficulties to industrial production. The organic field-effect transistors is a new type of semiconductor device which based on inorganic semiconductor transistor and used organic materials as the simiconductor layer. Polymer semiconductors with excellent optical and electrical properties are always been the profor choice for manufacturing OFET and other photovoltaic devices. In order to improve the device performance, the researchers need to create new materials, particularly the materials with electron-deficient aromatic group, and understanding the relationship between structure and properties deeply. The main contents of this paper:1. A series of NDI-based polymers with metal platinum(P1-P3) and oligmers(D1, D2) has been synthesized and characterized. These orgainc semiconductors could be dissolved in most of organic solvent. they also have good film-forming property and thermal stability. Their optical bandgap are between 1.46 e V and 1.68 e V. The studies showed that increasing of thiophene rings could broaden the absorption spectrum. However, with the extention of conjugated polymer chain, the molecule regularity may be reduced.2. A series of NDI-based organic conjugated polymers(B1, B2, T1, T2) has been synthesized and characterized. Thermal decomposition temperature of these polymers are above 400 ℃. Their optical bandgap is between 1.41 e V and 1.59 e V. Their bandgap are generally lower than that of normal conjugated polymers and consistent with the corresponding metal polymer(P1~P3).3. A micromolecule consist with porphyrin and N- annulated perylene has been synthesized and characterized. S1 has good thermal stability. It’s molar absorption coefficient is up to 2.9×105 M-1cm-1. Their absorpsion covered from 300 nm to 800 nm. The small molecule is expected to be used in the manufacture the high-performance device of OFET and OPV.
