The broadcast nature of wireless channels makes it vulnerable to eavesdropping, so the wireless communication faces huge security challenges. Recently, physical layer security has attracted considerable attention, which guarantees security by utilizing the physical characteristics of wireless channel. Artificial jamming is one of physical layer security techniques, which promotes the secrecy capacity by sending artificial noise. Previous studies always assume jammers help the communication pair (CP) for free. In fact, the selfish jammer will charge for the service, so the incentive mechanism must be reasonably designed. Besides, the jammer will interfere legal receivers while jamming eavesdroppers. For this reason, the jamming power must be reasonably controlled. In this paper, jamming power control for the wireless network is studied with game theory. The main work can be summarized as follows:(1) For the network that consists of a transmitter, a receiver, an eavesdropper and a jammer, the Stackberg game between the jammer and the CP is proposed. The optimal power is obtained in closed-form. Meanwhile, a cross iterative algorithm to solve the Nash Equilibrium (NE) is proposed and the numerical results present that there exists the optimal power and the jammer will help the CP with the given utility function.(2) The study is extended to more complex network, which consists of two transmitters, two receivers, two jammers and an eavesdropper. Given the complexity, two games are studied for the dual-link network. The first is the game between the CP and the jammer, and the second is the game between the CPs.(3) The detailed design for games in (2) is proposed. In first game, the imperfect information game between the CP and the jammer is founded, and the method to solve mixed-strategy NE is designed by Harsanyi transformation. In second game, the two-player game is studied in non-cooperative and cooperative game frames. Simulation results present jamming power control can improve the system utility and fairness. In this paper, the jamming power control for the wireless network is studied with game theory, which makes artificial jamming more practical in wireless communication and has forward-looking in theory and practicability in reality.
