Design And Implementation Of Resources Awareness Mechanism In Smart Identifier Networks

The scale of the network and the amount of information is increasing dramatically and, as a result, the disadvantage of the network is becoming obvious day by day. The design of the traditional network is relatively rigid, as a result, the network can’t rationally allocate the resource and lacks extensibility. In order to solve these problems, the National Engineering Laboratory for Next Generation Internet Interconnection Devices proposed a novel network architecture called smart identifier network.According to the demands of the resource dynamic adaptation mechanism, this paper designs a network resource awareness scheme. Through this scheme, we can complete resource collection of the network. In addition to this, this paper also designs a visualization system and shows the resource information on the system.Firstly, this paper makes a deep analysis of defects in the traditional network and introduces the investigation status on the next generation of Internet. At the same time, it discusses the significance of the resource awareness scheme.Secondly, this paper analyses the module design of the resource awareness mechanism. It discusses the detailed design of the resource collection module and the visualization module. In order to finish the resource’s register and update, this paper also makes a design of the packet format.Thirdly, this paper completed the function development. For the resource awareness module, the collection of the network resource used the proc file system and ioctl function. We use the secure channel in Openflow to finish the resource’s register and update. For the visualization module, the development of the function was completed by flex technology. This module was deployed on the controller.Finally, this paper verified the lightness of the function.Through the resource awareness scheme, the controller can get the information that it needs for resource adaption.
