Coal product plays an important role in our national economy, once the coal mine runs wrong, rescue teams rushed to the scene in time to implement the rescue. A good performance communication equipment not only bring confidence to the mine disaster relief workers, but also to provide a strong ground command system programming reference. However, the existing coal mine disaster communications devices exist more or less problems. Therefore, in order to be completed quickly and efficiently relief mission, we design and develop a set of coal mine wireless video surveillance equipment based Mesh Networks.This thesis designs and implements a coal mine disaster wireless video surveillance system based on the wireless Mesh network, to achieve rapid network construction, camera fast access. Ground command system can be monitored in real-time picture of underground disaster scene, and you can manage to control underground camera, set the camera parameters for smoother, clearer monitoring underground disaster scene.First, this thesis introduces the status of coal mine communications, research status of video surveillance systems and wireless Mesh network topology. The thesis designs WMN’s logical structure, and also introduces the Wireless Mesh nodes used. Then, we design the video surveillance system, introduce the video encoding system used in video transmission and camera constitution adopted, and the design and preparation of the video surveillance terminal control software. Finally, we tested the entire coal mine video surveillance systems, including video surveillance system for testing and the test of wireless Mesh network. Testing for Wireless Mesh Networks focuses on testing the bandwidth, delay, node received signal strength of the network. These tests work were divided into six modules, including video access module parameter setting module, video save module, video playback module, video retrieval module, video forwarding module.Tests show that the video surveillance system designed in this thesis can be a good solution of the problem of video surveillance. With flexible deployment, short rely time, clearly video picture, freely switching characteristics, the system will provide a strong guarantee for rescue under coal mine.
