Online Mechanism Design Of Cloud Computing Resource Allocation

As a new computing model, Cloud computing integrate computing resources by thevirtual technology provide computing service to users in the Internet. Cloud computingquickly attract a large number of users by the features of using as needed and easyexpansibility. Computing has become a public service, the user can reduce the cost ofIT resources, and focus on their core business. Governments and the major ITcompanies of the world are seeking to develop cloud computing technology andintroduced the corresponding cloud computing services platform. Resource allocationis core issue of cloud computing, the rational allocation of resources to improveresource utilization and the quality of customer service. The traditional research ofallocation resources mainly subject is the data center, the standard is the overallperformance of the data center, not fully consider the value of users and the quality ofcustomer service. With the development of cloud computing and the increasinglydiverse of users’ demand, user is the center of the research of resource allocationproblems and improving the quality of service to users. This paper use the method ofthe game theory and online mechanism design to research the cloud computingresource allocation by the center of users. The research content and innovation pointsare as follows:(1) Research and analysis of the domestic and foreign research status of cloudcomputing resource allocation, the user as the research subject, using game theory andonline mechanism design theory research the cloud computing resource allocationproblem.(2) Research from the user point of view and the dynamic of users’ arrival andleave, using the method of online mechanism design, designed the online mechanismbased on the unit value of cloud computing virtual machine allocation and the onlinemechanism based on the relative value of cloud computing virtual machine allocation,proved individual rationality and incentive compatible, comparing the performance oftwo online mechanisms by simulation experiment.(3) With the problem of the quality of service, using the method of onlinemechanism design, designed the online mechanism with latest-reserved of cloudcomputing virtual machine allocation, proved the online mechanism is truthful mechanism, compare with another online mechanism with continuous reserved bysimulation experiment, the latest-reserved online mechanism has a higher socialwelfare.
