Household robot Combined robot technology with information technology, assistive technology, nursing techniques and rehabilitation medicine. As the population ages, welfare for the disabled and other social problems are apparent, in China, revolving around human and robot in future life using a new model friendly, successfully develop a variety of types of robot prototype system. Household conveying robot is one of the electrical products which assist the daily life of the elderly and the disabled in mechanical, is aimed at family disabled old man or paralysis in bed patients, When they are not convenient to take objects, they need to have a household conveying robot which is easy to operate to help them complete, it plays an important role for improving the quality of life for the elderly and the disabled and ensuring the stable development of society in our country.First the paper introduces the developing situation and the work principle of household conveying robot,then researches and designs the Structure composition, parts selection, hardware circuits and the design of system software of household conveying robot.The control system of household conveying robot include the control chip STM32’s external circuit, power supply circuit, DC motor driver circuit, servo driver circuit, ZigBee wireless communication circuit. Computer send instructions to the control system of robot, through the ZigBee’s wireless transmission, the wheels and the robot arm use dc motor and servo to drive respectively, through the instructions which the computer send to the main controller STM32, it realize the robot’s forward and backward, turn left, turn right and grabing objects of three different height from robot arm. When robot is running and encounter obstacles, photoelectric sensor transmit the information to the controller, the controller will send instructions to DC motor driver, make the DC motor running with the instructions, drive the robot to avoid obstacles.Finally summarizes the system’s hardware design and software design, and discusses its application prospects, the household conveying robot has the advantages of reliability and perfect function which have certain realistic meaning in the daily family life.
