The three-dimensional panorama technology is one of the most important research subjects in the field of virtual reality.With the fast development of internet technology,the three-dimensional panorama technology is widely used in virtual tourism,digital exhibition, panoramic navigation,city streetscape and other fields.Compared with the three-dimensional panorama,the traditional two-dimensional panorama can not solve the problem of scene-depth,which would make users feel flat, while the three-dimensional panorama can give users more immersive browsing experience.The goal of this paper is to improve the display effect of 3D model in panorama through a reliable and efficient algorithm and the modeling efficiency,and to reduce the complexity of generating 3D panorama.Research on the panoramic image mosaic technology is a key factor of the subject,the Mercator projection algorithm is used to solve the deformation problem of the traditional cylindrical projection panorama in the paper. In the panoramic image mosaic process,firstly, a group of input images are automatically sorted according to the shooting sequence in the process of sorting,the feature points are roughly estimated among adjacent images’ matching regions,which improve the robustness and accuracy of image mosaic and image fusion. Finally,the paper uses the multi-band to improve the linear-weighted fusion algorithm, bringing high frequency details the algorithm of fuzzy fusion.Buildings are main modeling objects in a panorama,the correct recognition of buildings is the most important step in the modeling work.This paper presents a method to automatic recognition of building profile in panorama.Canny operator is used to get the edges of image,Hough transform algorithm is used to extract the linear edges in the image.Then record the relationship between the detected target lines, localization principle is utilized to detect the lines because of the size of a large panorama. Then according to the position of a straight-line relationship between generation linear relation graph, buildings are detected. Finally, the traversal of linear relation graph gets closed geometry to identify the profile of buildings in large-scale panorama, providing material for 3D modeling of buildings further in the next step.A large number of complex buildings exist in panorama,the pursuit of high precision 3D building model will put storage and transmission performance of the system under pressure. So solution to the contradiction between the precision and system pressure is the key to three- dimensional panorama system, based on the research of 3D model mapping algorithm, the paper has conducted the research of the LOD model.In terms of building of LOD model characteristics and modeling methods are analyzed,using long range and close range of buildings, to make the coarse modeling and fine modeling of buildings to solve the contradiction.On the basis of the above work, the three-dimensional panorama system patch based on modeling is finished. The system can display real-time 3D panorama in the browsing window, the interface is friendly,the function is easy to use,and it’s of high practical value.
