In modern society, duing to the increase of work pressure, people neglect to manage their own lives, especially for the young. This ignorance for the quality of life leads to a variety of bad habits, and thus has a severe influence on individual’s health conditions. Conventional activity recognition techniques rely on wearable sensors to collect users’ sensor information as a basis for recognizing activities through models. However, the dependence on the backend server in the activity recognition phase is not conducive to promotion. In view of this, this paper use the smartphone as a development platform,by applying the combination of activity recognition and indoor positioning techniques to identify the types of activities, and adopt a series of measures to analyze the user’s health status and therefore provide users with some practical advice. The details are as follows:1. The mobile terminal activity recognition technology is studied. For wearable sensors, duing to the requirement of purchasing extra equipment and the limitation of backend server processing ability, taking into account the speed development of smart phones and its portability, our paper propose to use the embedded sensors on the smartphones to replace wearable sensors to achieve local recognition instead of separate recognition on the backend server. In addition, considering the cell phone battery and memory consumption, this paper propose to adjust the sampling frequency dynamically to achieve energy savings.2. The health model is studied. As the results generated by activity recognition are just some dull motion data, our paper aims at establishing a health status estimation model through activity recognition to provide feasible suggestions for users. Therefore, by introducing the calorie calculation of food intake and the calorie calculation module to convert the activity data to calorie consumption, this paper successfully combines user consumption and intake of calories per day,and help user make diet plan and provide timely reminder of health condition according to some index of diet and weight loss.3. The indoor positioning technology is studied. There are not perfect solutions to indoor positioning which has been a hot area of research. This paper firstly analyze the advantages and limitations of diverse indoor positioning technologies. Based on the smartphone platform, in order to maximize the use of the built-in sensors, we then present an indoor positioning method by estimating pedestrian track. Through the study of pedestrian track calculation method, our paper propose a vital innovation by regarding the partial result in the activity recognition as the starting point for the pedestrian track calculation method, and by correcting the positioning results as well.4. The key technologies of performance optimization for the mobile client are studied. In terms of the limited memory and excessive consumption of network traffics, we explore performance optimization on the implementation of the mobile client system from two aspects, both in layout UI optimization and in code optimization. The UI optimization is primarily for layout reuse and the reduction of the nested layers, and the code optimization focuses on processing logic performance involving android multi-threading mechanism and caching mechanism. Our paper finally presents the visualization function of the performance optimization as well as its simple use instructions.
