At first, this paper studies the algorithm of signal detection and separation, which is suitable for signals with different frequency in the same channel. This paper studies the peak detection method based on spectrum for signal detection. This method is an improvement of the algorithm of Batelett average periodogram. The numbers of signal and the start and stop frequency of each signal can be detected by this algorithm, and the center frequency and bandwidth of the signal can also be estimated. Then the center frequency and bandwidth of the signal is used to design the coefficients of FIR filter to filter out the signal.Then, based on Labwindows/CVI platform, this paper designs a PC control interface. The user can not only load an external signal source but also set the signal parameters to generate appropriate mixed signal sources through the control interface. So PC control interface is considered as a simple signal generating source.Finally, algorithms of signal detection and separation are implemented in FPGA hardware. The coefficients of filter are designed in Microblaze. After the calculation of the coefficients are completed by Microblaze, the coefficients are loaded into FIR IP core by FPGA to complete the separation of mixed signals. Since the communication between the host computer and FPGA is realized through the PCI interface, this paper simply introduces the development of PCI driver and gives a simple driver code developed by NI-VISA.
