The conformal array is widely used throughout radar, sonar wireless communication and so on. This dissertation aims at the development of array error calibration, especially in steering vector modeling for conformal array and calibration algorithm for conformal array. Because of the special configuration of element in conformal array and the influnce of carrier curve, the steering vector model for linear array and planer array is no longer suitable for conformal array. Take error into consideration, the steering vector model of conformal array will be more complex. As a result, the error calibration for conformal array is difficulty in array signal processing.The classification of error calibration algorithms is firstly introduced and we give the derivation and analysis in detail. The manifold separation technique(MST) is a method for modeling the steering vector of antenna arrays of pratical interest with arbitrary 2-D or 3-D geometry. It is the product of a sampling matrix(dependent on the antenna array only)and a Vandermonde structured coefficients vector depending on the wavefield only. We proposed a calibration method on basis of MST in moving platform. The method takes advantage of the point that the sampling matrix consists of the perturbations and is robust to errors. However, it is hard to measure the sampling matrix and can not update the errors of the array realtime. The proposed method overcomes the defect and relizes the DOA estimation robustly. The simulations verifies the effectiveness of the algorithm.
