Stereo vision is a classical topic in the field of computer vision, binocular stereo vision can be achieved due to its most machine vision to the human bionics, thus become a hot topic in the field of stereoscopic vision. This paper describes the development history of computer vision and its Research profile first,and introduc the OpenCV experimental platform, then the architecture and key techniques of three-dimensional reconstruction of binocular images were analyzed, after that, as the focus of three-dimensional reconstruction system of binocular image, carry out the research of the camera calibration, feature extraction and stereo matching, stereo matching and three-dimensional reconstruction technology based on OpenCV.As the key to solve the problem of correspondence between three-dimensional world coordinate and image coordinate of computer vision,in camera calibration stage, briefly introduce the camera model, camera calibration technology and CVUT,and focused on the OpenCV camera calibration algorithm and implementation. Aiming at the problem of camera calibration based on OpenCV system has a memory leak, this paper develop a set of calibration system based on CVUT in the VC++ environment, users can easily, quickly and accurately complete the camera calibration tasks.The accuracy of feature extraction and matching determines the accuracy of three-dimensional reconstruction, this paper introduces the theory of the current commonly used feature extraction and stereo matching algorithm and its advantages and disadvantages.In the experiment we use the Canny operator to detect the edge of binocular images, and get the clear edge information of the image, then use stereo matching algorithm based on feature matching to match extracted edge information of binocular image,and successfully realized the matching of binocular images.In the chapter of stereo matching and three-dimensional reconstruction based on OpenCV, analyzed the feature matching principle and three-dimensional reconstruction process of binocular image. Using the sparse point based on windows successfully restored the contour map of the binocular image,and got the image depth contour map through linear interpolation of depth image.Finally, through the integration of the improved method for camera calibration, stereo matching and three-dimensional reconstruction and other aspects, realized binocular stereo vision system cali-bration and reconstruction based on VC++6.0 and OpenCV and CVUT in the Windows system.Experi-ments show that, the system can better restore the depth information of two-dimensional image and three-dimensional reconstruction of the image.
