Technology is the force of enterprise development, and quality is the main factors which make enterprise survive. To ensure the precision and determine the defect size correctly is the basic requirement for the technology and quality. With the development of industry, the new problem became the measurement of complex geometric parameters and defects sizes of workpiece. This paper studies the measurement of 2-D geometric parameters based on industrial CT image. Detect the industrial CT slice image edge with the improved method in this paper, which is using canny edge detection, to get the target edge. Then using eight neighborhood tracking algorithm to obtain the edge of the target image coordinates; the perimeter and area of single/ multi-counter of CT slice image is obtained by using 2-D geometric calculation. Through the image of a series of processing, can effectively obtain image measurement results, and the measuring accuracy is higher.Using above method to make simulation experiment and discussion on single/multi-counter workpiece; make dimension detection of workpiece and special-shape workpiece. The proposed method in this paper can be adopted in practical production.
