With the development of information technology, more and more data are stored in database management system. Therefore, as the fundamental software of information storage and information management, database management system’s security is of great importance. During the database system, the access control is the key point of data protection, and the necessary condition of the implement of safe database.In the thesis, introduce a new multilevel security access control model which implement is based on a single database table. Within this control model, the database can control the direction of data flow. Which means higher-level users can access lower data, and the modification made by lower users can reflect to high level. Every user can only access the data whose security level is lower or equal to user’s security level.The mainly work in this paper is as the following:1. Introduce a new multilevel security access control model based on a single database table.2. For the model mentioned above, explain its mechanism, principle, and technology.3. Considering the real application of safe database, propose a security level combination model. Every subject and object has more than one security label, their security levels are decided by security label combination.
