The Universal Radar System Simulation Platform For Modeling And Evaluating

In order to meet the simulation of radar system for multiple styles, distributed, interoperable, reusable development needs, to the universal radar system simulation platform for research object, development for different radar system simulation of general platform, platform can integrate different radar system model, structured, easy integration, parameter setting reasonable. With the rapid development of computer technology, the application of the computer simulation technology in the field of radar system is becoming more and more mature. This paper discusses the related content of standardized radar modeling and simulation.The domestic and foreign existing marine radar’s research is based on a software simulation platform mainly, which is about the simulation of the radar in a certain function, such as the UK DREA Sea Systems naval radar computer simulation platform. It has some main function, such as supporting multiple radar models, including surface search, ground moving target, offering a variety of radar simulation results, including the distance attenuation, antenna pattern, and the sensitivity of the receiver, and simulating the radar parameters, including antenna, transmitter power, receiver noise, process gain control, scan conversion effect etc. Radar simulation system in domestic is mainly built in System View, VS2005, HLA and other platforms. Radar research mostly focus on a particular aspect of performance, such as the background of sea clutter, the suppression ability of sea clutter, and only for a certain type of goal, such as the sea surveillance warning and low altitude target.This paper first describes the concept of software platform in the field of standardized radar modeling and simulation. And this paper puts forward the general idea of designing this software platform. This paper then discusses the design of standardized radar model and realizes the focus on several aspects as follows: First, how to standardize the models of the radar system; Second, how to classify the models of the radar system; Third, how to standardize the radar system; Forth, how to manage the models of the radar system.And then, this paper discusses the design of the standardized software platform in the field of standardized radar modeling and simulation, it includes software tool set and software interface. Software tool set include the server subsystem, the software manage platform, the parameter setting software, the simulation scenes software, the radar display or control software and the data playback software.Finally this paper discusses the design of the radar evaluation system, including the examples of radar evaluation software and the evaluation software which can evaluate the data of the current radar simulation system.This chapter presents code examples and corresponding results.
