As is known to all, mobile communication frequency resource is becoming scarcer. At the same time mobile communication bandwidth requirements are endless. The TD-LTE has a unique advantage exactly in two aspects. In addition to bandwidth advantages, the spectrum utilization rate of TD-LTE compared with the HSPA 3G amounts to 2~4 times. The TD-LTE has advantages in speed, delay and spectrum utilization rate etc. It Enables the operator to have more powerful business to provide capacity in the spectrum bandwidth under the limited resources which is the goal the global mobile communication industry diligently strives for. It can be predicted that the TD-LTE will become the main force of mobile Internet. The structure of the LTE system network is more flatting and simple. It reduces the network node and the complexity of the system, thus reduces the system delay, also reduces the cost of network deployment and maintenance. The LTE system supports interoperability with other 3GPP systems. The LTE system has two types: the FDD-LTE and the TDD-LTE, i.e., duplex LTE systems divided by frequency or time. And the main difference of their technology is the air interface in the physical layer(such as frame structures, time division designs and synchronization, etc.).The air interface of the FDD-LTE system uses a pair of symmetrical bands to receive and transmit data for its uplink and downlink transmission. But the TDD-LTE system uses the same frequency band transmitted in different time slots. TDD has a higher utilization of the spectrum compared with FDD duplex mode.This study analyzes the structure of the TD-LTE system, key techniques in physical layer of the TD-LTE system, the TD-LTE network planning etc. It also analyzes the physical layer technology of the TD-LTE system, the OFDM technology and the MIMO technology. It summarizes the characteristics of the TD-LTE coverage planning, capacity plannings, and parameter programming network plannings. Wireless communication network plannings include the wireless access network planning, the core network planning and the network planning. This paper focuses on the access network planning. The TD-LTE wireless network planning is similar with the 2G, 3G network planning. At the same time, TD-LTE as a new wireless communication technology, has its own characteristics. This paper studies the parameters of wireless access network planning in the coverage, capacity, location and other aspects of the estimation, and simulates the experiment.
