Nowadays, with the rapid development of computer hardware and software, the development of modern military electronic technology is also very rapidly. Considering the radar system develops promptly, its application field is expanded, and its scale and complexity is increased, therefore, requirements for the performance of the radar system simulation software are also increasing. Because of the radar system design, development and testing is a costly time-consuming job, the traditional radar system relying on a field test system analysis method cannot meet the demand any more. In order to solve this problem, the computer simulation technology has entered people’s field of vision. Its availability, economy and safety, intuitive, repeatability and less affected by environmental conditions etc has met the radar system design, development and testing requirements.Under this background, the study derived the visualization simulation technology. The advance of visual simulation technology has an irreplaceable value and significance for the research and development of the computer simulation and now gradually caused developers development boom. Visual simulation is through the computer simulation with graphics, images, text and otherwise, reproduce the real radar system working principle and process of different scenarios, making the simulation process more intuitive, and the result is easier to understand, and can effectively verify whether the simulation process of a set of method is correct or not.In this paper, by adopting the idea of visualization, modular, hierarchical, the platform based on the QT has been put forward. The Visualization of radar system simulation software design is modeling based on visual graphical and take the XML technology and the code automatic generation technology as the key technology.1.This paper has a detailed analysis on the system architecture model, component framework design and process design of this system, which uses a layered architecture model and can be divided into system layer, function layer and matrix of three layers. The composition framework consists of two parts: modeling software and integratedsimulation software.2. This paper focused on the research of modeling software design and implementation. Modeling software is divided into three parts: automatic code generation tool, visual modeling tools and model generation module to carry on the design and implementation. Automatic code generation tools can be based on the XML model description file to create the basic model, and convert it into an executable file; Visual modeling tools drag model primitives to the canvas, then wired subsystem; Model can generate module to submodel encapsulation and then add it to the model of tree, which can be used by user as a basic model directly.3. This paper has conducted both function test and simulation test towards the software. The results show that the main modules of visualization of radar system simulation software designed in this paper can satisfy users’ requirements of modeling and simulation requirements well.
