Recently,the theory and design of perfect reconstruction(PR) filter banks have been widely investigated. PR filter banks have been applied in many fields, such as software radio communications, multiplexers and electronics countermeasure. Among the general perfect reconstruction filter banks, the cosine-modulated filter banks(CMFBs) and the complex-exponential modulated filter banks(CEMFBs) have also attracted great attention and been widely used.Channelization plays an important role in wideband digital receivers. It splits the received signal bandwidth into several sub-channels and measures the output of every sub-channel respectively. Then the single or multiple independent subband signals in the received signal bandwidth are extracted, which makes the subsequent baseband processing easier and more convenient.This dissertation thoroughly discusses several PR filter bank algorithms and their applications in wideband digital receivers. It focuses on a kind of channelization method based on the complex-exponential modulated perfect reconstruction(CEMPR) filter banks. On this basis, by using the poly-phase structure of filter banks and the time division multiple access technology, a digital channelization scheme for 2048-channel carrier signals is implemented on a FPGA platform. The main work of the dissertation includes:1. Several cosine-modulated based or complex-exponential modulated based PR filter bank algorithms are analyzed, and their corresponding prototype filters are designed in MATLAB.2. The algorithm of CEMPR filter banks is thoroughly studied and applied to wideband channelization. A 16383-order prototype filter is designed in MATLAB, and then the simulations(including floating-point simulation and fixed-point simulation) of the corresponding analysis filter banks and synthesis filter banks are implemented.3. A digital channelization FPGA software design for 2048-channel carrier signals is implemented in VHDL. The FPGA software consists two parts: the digital demultiplexing and the digital multiplexing. The simulations of the FPGA program(including function simulation, timing simulation and hardware debugging) are implemented. The FPGA program runs stably, and all the performance indexes satisfy the requirements.
