Genetic Algorithm (Genetic Algorithm, GA) and case-based reasoning (Case-Based Reasoning, CBR) had been more researched as intelligent problem solving. The main contents of this paper are to combine the merits of GA and CBR in intelligent systems for mechanical products detailed research, design and development. Constructed machinery intelligent system based on GA and CBR. The main achievement of mechanical products intelligent system is to solve the CNC lathe product design.This paper discusses the mechanical products intelligent systems are built based on genetic algorithms and case-based reasoning.Firstly, we made the overall design process of mechanical products intelligent systems through understanding and researching the principle, characteristics, basic steps and related applications of genetic algorithms and case-based reasoning. Secondly, according machinery products have complex logical structure and physical structure characteristics, this paper presents a multi-level structure description to break down the overall program design task, and multiple options decomposed is to be encoding parameter, individual representation, multi-level structure information to create an instance library of genetic algorithm. Extenics using the principle of molding machinery products have been successfully carried out an instance of physical parameters and functional parameters divided to store them creates an instance library of case-based reasoning. Finally, the mechanical products intelligent systems based on genetic algorithm design the fitness function and genetic operator derived CNC lathe solution in case of CNC lathe. The improved gray correlation algorithm and improved genetic algorithm were retrieved and modified to match the design examples drawn after refinement in the case-based reasoning. After taking into account the real-time requirements, I use Visual C++6.0 and SQL server2008 to create mechanical products intelligent systems and storage products’ data.The use of ADO technology to complete intelligent systems and database connections.This article combines GA and CBR method is applied to the design of mechanical products Intelligent Systems. System has been running the outcome what do they meet the requirements of detailed design.
