Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are used for target tracking, environmental monitoring, surveillance, and data collection for factors such as humidity, temperature, light, and pressure or the weight, velocity, and movement direction of an object in the area of the interest(Ozturk et al.,2012). A mobile sensor is defined with the definition of consisting of the ability of sensing, computation, communication and locomotion capabilities. Compared with the static sensor, the mobile sensor can be widely used in where human interference may be risky or even prohibited, such as virgin forest, battle field and other dangerous areas (Stergiopoulos et al.,2012). The deployment and coverage of the mobile sensors is one of the key steps to build wireless sensor networks. As a result, how to deploy the mobile sensors reasonably in the region of interests has become an important research question. In this paper, with the help of the multi-touch devices, we presents a multi-touch interactive wireless sensor network deployment system based on the natural human-computer interaction design principles for the users or wireless sensor network designers. Users can follow the design process provided by the system, with the help of multi-touch device to interact and quickly complete the design of the virtual wireless sensor network. They can also take use of the automatic deployment algorithms provided by the system for the deployment of the design of mobile sensor networks.Experimental results have proved that the system is more convenient than the traditional manual deployment. We also propose a deployment algorithm of wireless mobile sensor networks based on the Visible Voronoi diagram. The algorithm can be applied to the more complex environments, and considering the circumstances of the attenuation of the sensing ability when encountered obstacles or the border of the given region. As a result, it has a more good practical significance. In addition, the paper also validates the feasibility of the proposed algorithm in the light deployment by using image entropy.
