Software Defined Networking (SDN) attracts much attention in 2010 as new network architectures. The basic idea of SDN is separating the control plane from the forwarding plane in the network. SDN is able to implement centralized control, to make the underlying network equipment and the upper application transparent and can balance the flow. At present the network equipment can not meet the need of SDN, so the hardware devices for SDN are widely concerned.The hardware and software in the infrastructure of the SDN framework is paid close attention in this paper. And designed and produced an AP equipment witch support SDN network. The content includes the design and implementation of data processing program, design and production of the hardware and testing the AP, finally fulfull the test. The main work is as follows:1. According to AP function and performance requirements, select the CPU and other chips, Ethernet and wireless module, with auxiliary circuit. The hardware is designed completely, and also fulfill circuit welding;2. Embedded systems development and transplantation:the realization of data processing procedures and drive mounting to the embedded system kernel, and transplant program to hardware devices;3. According to OpenFlow protocol, connection between AP and controller is achieved by programming. It can ensure that message transfer to AP and the operate such as flow table deliver or modify can accomplished.4. According to data transfer protocol, the data packet processing is researched, and the reasonable action of the data packet is realized with program.After debugging, the connection of AP and SDN controller has been achieved in the lab.The AP is able to receive the flow table from the controller. And the AP which connected to gateway can perform data processing according to the flow table.The results showed that in the laboratory debug connection AP and SDN controller is completed, receiving the flow table by controller successfully; a gateway to connect to the AP can perform data processing in accordance with the flow table.
