In order to adapt to the rapid development of modern communication technology, the interconnection structures between different electronic systems, devices and circuit blocks become more and more complicated. The interconnected space is increasingly intensive, the amount and type of interconnect cable harness keep increasing. Crosstalk between cable harness, mutual coupling between the interference source and the cables makes the electromagnetic environment becomes intricate. It has become a very important issue in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. Research the electromagnetic interference problem of cables has important engineering value.Cable harness is various in a high power microwave source, and the crosstalk and coupling of cable harness is prominent. In this paper, the crosstalk and electromagnetic coupling of cable harness in a shielding cavity have been simulated, and the law of which has been obtained. On the basis of the law, the suppression method of the crosstalk and electromagnetic coupling about cable harness in the 3kw microwave source, which is used to produce high power microwave energy and whose model is WY3S-06, is been explored preliminarily. So it provides theoretical basis of electromagnetic interference in a microwave source case.Firstly, embarked from the transmission line theory, the principles of crosstalk and electromagnetic coupling about cable harness have been mastered, and the models of which have been established. On the other side, the transmission line matrix is been analyzed and and derived. The crosstalk and electromagnetic coupling models of multi-conductor transmission line are established by electromagnetic simulation software based on transmission line matrix and circuit analysis. The voltage responses of transmission lines under the lumped source excitation and external electromagnetic wave radiation are obtained. It is found that the simulation results obtained by electromagnetic simulation software agree very well with the results of experiment and literature, the method is verified to be corrected.Secondly, the crosstalk of wires and cables in a microwave source case has been simulated and analyzed. By means of simplifying the geometric structure of the microwave source case, the microwave source model and internal cable harness model are built by simulation software. The laws of crosstalk are got in the case of different types of waveform, different intensity of disturbance signal and different termination loads. On this basis, supression method of cable harness is explored preliminarily by designing a filter.Thirdly, the electromagnetic coupling between electromagnetic leakage of a magnetron and wires and cables in a microwave source case has been simulated and analyzed. It is difficult to been modeled and simulated directly for the magnetron because of its complex structure. So a cylinder resonator is equivalent to simulate electromagnetic leakage of the magnetron by researching on the radiation through a hole and a wire. As a radiation source, the cylindrical resonance system is introduced into shielding cavity of the microwave source to simulate and analyze the coupling laws of cable harness. On this basis, a protective device which has the advantages of simple structure, easy manufacture is designed to restrain electromagnetic leakage of cylindrical cavity, so it can be used to guide the electromagnetic protection of magnetron cathode and anode.
