The Design And Implementation Of Dianping.Com Menu System

With the rapid development of mobile internet, more and more offline resources can be integrated through the internet platform and showed to consumers. And catering industry is one of the most important offline industries, which has close relationship with users. Taking the advantages of mobile internet, dianping.com is now establishing a smart restaurant including takeaway, online reservations, online menu and online pay. The menu system, which is studied in this paper, is a part of smart restaurant service. However, offline menu information is complex, how to integrate and show the menu information to users is the main problem this paper solved.This paper firstly studies the domestic popular applications which contain menu information. These applications include meituan.com, nuomi.com, youxian order dishes and delicious without waiting. The biggest problem in these applications is that menu information is not comprehensive enough and can not attract users. So users may be confused about the menu information of restaurants.In order to giving users the most complete menu information and the most beautiful menu appears, the menu system studied in this paper provides multiple ways to import menu information, including POS uploading, user recommending dishes, official album dishes and merchant application uploading, which takes advantage of mass merchant information of dianping.com and the data support of partner Shanglong Technology. At the same time, menu system has formulated strict menu integration logic. Menu information collected from each information source is integrated to the official menu with a priority rule. The system provides a module on application for merchant, which can edit and further confirmation of the integrated menu. The system provides a module on application for user, which can browse and save dishes of shops. This system uses Java EE to develop, use spring framework, iBatis framework and Mobile framework, Lion project configuration and Pigeon service within the company as technical support.Using this system, Merchants can integration menu information from many sources and provide comprehensive, intuitive and elegant menu to users. At the same time, this system also can attract more merchants and users for dianping.com and perfect 020 overall layout.
