Because in the process of production, corrosion, stress and other factors such as external force damage, complex internal parts, industrial pipeline and vessel will inevitably appear all sorts of burr and damage. The enormity of the problem of deteriorating pipeline infrastructure is apparent and rebuilding the pipeline infrastructure is not financially realistic. Generally, the inner is not directly or easily access. Thus, it is vital for the industrial production. The measuring technology in industry endoscopes based on image process enables swiftly check the inner of the pipeline,display the situation and real-time process measuring data.The hardware system is including CCD camera, video capture equipment and computer. The video capture equipment selected is Meteor II 1 Standard video card made in Canadian Matrox Corporation and the excellent performance of which is exerted well according to proper parameters configuration.The algorithms and software include nonlinear calibration,length measurement under the projective distortion, depth measurement and angular measurement on surface. Video grabbing part is base on MIL software package which is brought by Meteor II video capture card, and the asynchronous double buffer grabbing method is used to solve the problem of real-time grabbing. Harris corner detection is utilized to find the corner and nonlinear calibration. Aimed at the phenomenon of projective distortion when the optical axis is non vertical to test surface, accumulation and cross-ratio algorithms are presented to measure the length. Aimed at the measurement of the fracture depth in the pipelines, clarity evaluation function and depth from focusing are utilized to measure the depth.A measuring technology in industry endoscopes system based on images is constructed in the research. The measuring system runs in the platform of windows, and the software is coded by Visual C++6.0. Moreover,the person-computer alternation interface is friendly and all the algorithms above have been tested through relative experiments.
