The design and manufacturing of fixture are very important, Nowadays, due to the severe competition and the request of Informationization, enterprises have brought up a higher demand in designing and making of the fixture. In this paper, research for machine tool fixture design based on Unigraphics NX platform was developed. Such main works al e studied:(1) Consolidated and inducted the Library design of the 3D model, established the two dimensional parameter map and Three-Dimensional Model based on AutoCAD、NX, the important part is the creation of design of Special fixture and the creation of each function module of the system.(2)Use the tools of two development NX software, such as NX/Open API, NX/Open Menu Script to developed NX system in VS2010 two times, design dialog in established the 3D model of shaft well, to design and program development processes and development the user interface and information of dimensions system in the VS 2010 environment.(3) Create SQL Sever database, design a system that based on the special fixture 3D model feature information combining with the characteristics of the database itself, stored up the design information of the related marked products, through the ADO interface realized seamless link in the database and NX software in VS 2010 environment.(4) Design level one and level two menu interface of dimension system, moreover is the user interface, it is display instances running that dimension system library design of the 3D model.(5) To make a summary of this paper, it can be widely extended to induction of the information in the database and puts forward prospect to the in-depth study technical point.
