People rely on mobiles much more than anytime and they require high quality user interface with the rapid development of ubiquitous computing. It’s summarized into two points. Firstly, how to keep the consistency of the user interface among different mobiles, and make the different versions of the application easy to use. Secondly, how to keep the user experience, and make it have the unified. The existing research based on model-driven method tries to make a unified interface abstract model so that it can be mapped to the different devices. However, the method is difficult to provide a high quality user interface so that it fails to apply in industry. The question addressing how to keep the user interfaces’ usability effectively remains open.User interface pattern provides the possibility for solving the interface usability problems. As a reference guide for interface design, it generally adopts the form of text description and pays attention to system’s usability issues from the user point of view. In this article, we will be introduced into the UI pattern of mobile phone interface development tools. The main work is as follows:1) Based on the text description of pattern, this paper proposes a SVG-based method to describe the pattern, which is divided into two aspects:the basic elements of the pattern and the pattern itself structure. In fact, it is the improved version of the traditional user interface patterns library;2) To build the relation between the UI patterns library and the component library on the Android platform, the mapping rules are defined. The predefined interface element classes represent the UI patterns, which solve the problem of pattern how to organize effectively;3) This paper constructs a visual UI component library which is composed of UI pattern on the basis of existing component library and develops a tool which is called the pattern-based on the mobile phone interface development tool in short of PPIDT.PPIDT has three features:1) it offers an auxiliary to design interface with a drag and drop operation.2) It can quickly generate the code page for the prototype.3) It can generate the test page. In order to test the functionality and usability for the PPIDT, a mobile application is given. We analyze the results which is generated the interface storage test and the final interface generation test. Finally, a comparison is made between the PPIDT and the current commonly interface tools through using the related usability principle.
