With the rapid development of computer technology in the field of Human-ComputerInteraction, Biometrics has been widely applied in people’s daily lives. As the key technology inintelligent information processing, face identification has now aroused extensive attention andactive research in the field of pattern recognition, computer vision and human-computerinteraction. Thus, the study of face detection technology is of important academic significance.This thesis conducts an intensive research in face detection based on the Adaboost, anddesigned an ARM demoboard around the Cortex-A8processor. After building thecross-compiler environment under Linux and designing the face detection program with QT,the program has been successfully transplanted to the ARM demoboard and realized the facedetection algorithm.This thesis accomplished the realization of ARM board based on the Cortex-A8processor,the building of platform under embedded Linux system, the transplant of Bootload and thewriting of the system. Moreover, the cross-compiler environment has been established, facedetection algorithms and the entire process of executable program transplant has been realized.With the establishment of face detection system based on Cortex A8, face detection has beensuccessfully achieved.The results of repeat tests show that, the face detection system can quickly recognize thehuman faces with high accuracy and good real-time performance under a normal light condition.Thus, to a certain extend the system has reference value for future industrialization of faceidentification technology. |
