USB technology for its plug and play, a variety of transmission modes and transmissionspeed and other characteristics, widely used in embedded USB device. With thedevelopment of technology, the demand for embedded USB host function areas increasinglystrong. Due to the complexity of USB technology, it has good practical value andsignificance of a complete USB solution for embedded systems.This thesis studies the USB specification, OHCI host specification and USBMSCspecification, based on the embedded system design for a USB master-slave protocol stack,and the evaluation board based on ARM7-TMDI-S core NXP LPC2478microcontroller inthe realized and verified. This realization of the protocol stack and the host part from themachine, two relatively independent, have adopted an open and modular structure of thehierarchy. Through the interface between the three levels of hierarchy, consisting of acomplete protocol stack software architecture.Finally, we designed a series of test cases to verify the USB master and slave protocolstack validity and reliability. Experimental results show that the thesis stack implementedin embedded USB device and embedded host two aspects to the design requirements.
