Aiming at the forecasting demand of establishing operation monitoring center ofregional power grid, which is proposed by State Grid in May,2013, this paperexploits a set of prediction system of power economic in operation monitoring ofpower grid consisting of improved forecasting model. The system is useful to improvethe business monitoring capability of operating monitoring, develop operationalmonitoring data applications and promote the deepening application of informationmanagement system. Thus, the paper is full of significant theoretical value andpractical meaning to improve the level of grid operating managementcomprehensively and bring about social and economic benefits continuously.This paper discusses the research background and relative progress of powereconomic prediction. By introducing the current situation of regional power gridoperating monitoring center and the demand of forecasting, this paper sets upcorresponding power economic forecasting indicators. Then through analyzingexisting forecasting model, this paper establishes improved medium-long term powereconomic comprehensive optimization forecasting modes based on grey-related andneural-grey conversion short-term power economic smart forecasting model from theperspective of actual need. The empirical study proves that the forecasting model hassatisfied prediction results.This paper processed the design of power economic forecasting system and theexploitation of specific function modules based on mathematical model by computerlanguage. In order to fulfill the requirement of power grid operating monitoring, wetry our best to provide reliable and complete functions to make the system easier touse on the basis of fundamental functions. Then we try to run and test the system in acertain regional power grid. The operating results shows better practicability andmaneuverability, which means the completion of the whole exploit of predictionsystem of power economic in operation monitoring of regional power grid. Finallythis paper summarizes all research, analysis existing problems and proposessuggestions.
