Design And Realization Of An Interactive English Grammar Learning System Based On Android Platform

In the mobile Internet era, information technology is widely used in people’swork, study, life, entertainment and many other fields. Information technology ineducation has become an inevitable choice in the times. It was tried to explore that themobile learning theory and English teaching practice, and realized the traditionalclassroom education in the mobile phone, PDA and other mobile terminals, built aplatform for students and teachers in the mobile network environment which was forlearning Interactive English grammar,and explored a new ways of grammar learningand met the learners’ mobile learning needs.According to the method of the management practice of software engineering,the writer made an investigation and analysis for the system requirement, had a cleargoal of the system and summed up the system function module. According to themobile learning model,from the three aspects of the server, network environment andclient, more problems such as server design and deployment communication protocolselection, and voice recording and playback were studied and designed. In the detaileddesign stage, the design of the data transmission of Tomcat Web server and HTTPprotocol were implemented, furthermore, the text message communication and voicechat were based on Openfire instant messaging server and XMPP protocol.By running test, results showed that the system could basically meet the needs ofusers in the environment of mobile Internet. It was possible for interactive learningneeds. It established an effective channel of communication between the teachers andstudents. To some extent, it improved mainly paper-based materials in the traditionalteaching, and the difficult to communicate between teachers and students because oftime and location. It attempted to enrich the means of English teaching and theinformation of English grammar teaching.
