With the update of wireless communication technology, especially the emergence of4G technology, IMT develops rapidly, achieving higher data rates, lower delay and higher spectral efficiency and higher system capacity. Another result of the growing wireless services is to make the carrier of information transmission, strategic resources of mobile operator network building, wireless spectrum become increasingly scarce. Contradictory between growing spectrum requirements and limited spectrum resources has become an important factor which constrains the development of communication operators, it’s urgent and critical to look for candidate bands for IMT. Coexistence and interference research between different radio communication systems focuses on providing the necessary technical support for the allocation of relevant frequency bands and the deployment of operators’network, thereby increasing the efficiency of spectrum resources.International mainstream frequency band of LTE are700MHz,1800MHz and2600MHz in the current. In China,700MHz band has been allocating to the radio and television services. Therefore, China proposes1.4GHz and3.5GHz bands for future LTE candidate research to meet with its own state.1.4GHz bands due to their good propagation characteristics, being applicable to mobile broadband systems, being able to provide reliable wide coverage in the urban and rural areas, being possible to be used to provide capacity for macro and micro cells, is selected as one of the candidate bands for the deployment of IMT services. In this paper, the existing services BSS and aeronautical telemetry services in the1.4GHz bands are selected as research objects to carry out researches on respective coexistence and interference with IMT system.Research in the paper is divided into two parts:coexistence and interference between IMT and BSS, coexistence and interference between IMT and aeronautical telemetry systems.Deterministic calculation method is used in the study of coexistence and interference between IMT and BSS to achieve additional isolation values of IMT base stations interfering BSS as well as BSS interfering IMT base stations/terminals. System-level simulation method is used in the study of coexistence and interference between IMT and aeronautical telemetry system to achieve additional isolation values of IMT base stations interfering terrestrial systems and airborne receiver of aeronautical telemetry system respectively in the same channel and adjacent channel, suggestive measures to avoid interference are presented according to the conclusions in the paper.
