Along with the continuous innovation of the information technology, the Internet has already transformed from Web1.0Era, the period of obtaining information, to Web2.0Era, the period of generating information. Into the Web2.0Era, the traditional TV viewing experience obviously cannot meet the needs of the audience, which is realizing the real-time interaction of program content with strangers or friends while watching TV. This demand promotes the birth of social TV. Although social network services have swept the world, for its rich interactive and participatory, the service provided by SNS doesn’t fully match the scene of watching TV. In fact, the perfect social TV service not only can improve the audience viewing experience, will also have a huge commercial value in improving ratings, discovering new advertising model and so on.In view of the background, this paper firstly studies the important technologies of social TV, including social network analysis, user behavior analysis, Chinese sentiment analysis and instant communication technology. Then we start the analysis with qualitative and quantitative analysis of social TV network, which are social network attributes and network structure. After network topology structure is analyzed by the data, we verify the correctness of the proposed service framework. Then from the aspects of user participation, system usability and user influence, we study user behavior on the existing social TV service, pointing out the shortcomings and deficiencies of existing services. We study the user comment content of sentiment analysis, and present the sentiment polarity calculation algorithm based on text content and expression. With this algorithm, we find that users’emotions are strongly associated with the program content in social TV, and more than60percentages of comments are with positive emotional tendency. Nonverbal emotional expression is studied after that.Finally, we develop a second screen social TV system application with the5system design principles based on research. In the design, we improve and optimize some functions, to be better than original micro-blog platform service. Satisfaction survey results prove the correctness of design principles, and making contribution to watch and chat experience on the aspects of learnability, usefulness and interesting.
