With the development of computer technology, people’s life has been changed a lot. Digital Camera comes out as one of the products of the development of the technology. Due to the rapid popularization of digital cameras and other types of image capture tools, image widespread in life. At the same time, a variety of image processing software has been produced, which is easy to get, easy to learn, easy to use, and make the authenticity of the image questioned seriously. The investigation about image tampering identification becomes a hot spot.There are three main parts in this paper. First, we introduce the significance of the research on the image tampering identification and the current development of digital image technology home and abroad. Second, we focus on the correlation between the EXIF exchangeable image file information and image noise characteristics. By building the correlation between the statistical noise characteristics and five EXIF features which are extracted from the training image, we can estimate the EXIF parameters of testing images, and compare it with the real values. The results can determine the authenticity of testing images. Third, we study the noise feature extraction methods, and reconstruct the statistical noise characteristics. Partial tampering makes the image more difficult to distinguish the authenticity. In this part, we investigate this forensics based on the EXIF information and noise feature. In order to improve the local image tampering detection results, the statistical noise characteristics rebuild from24to324to ensure the accuracy of the algorithm. While the detection efficiency has been greatly affected, we also propose the use of principal component analysis to optimize the image noise characteristics, then the algorithm can be implemented has been greatly improved.
