With the development of the times and the increasing of people’s needs, in the past few decades the communications industry has undergone enormous changes, especially the rapid development of mobile communications which allow users to completely get rid of the shackles of terminal equipment and achieve a complete personal mobile and reliable transport means. In the21st century, mobile communication has developed into indispensable tool which determine the development and progress of society. With the development of mobile communications, the business operators and users continue to increase, which leads to the scale of mobile communication network constantly expanding, in order to further improve the quality and user experience of mobile communications network, the importance of wireless network optimization work is increasingly exposed.Data analysis is an important part in wireless network optimization, because all wireless network optimization is based on results of the analysis of the underlying data to identify problems and solve the problems, but with the growing size of the mobile communications network services and scale, more and more datas of wireless network optimization generated and accumulated, which challenge the traditional method of data analysis seriously, but when dealing with the big data traditional data analysis methods will use basic data partitioning, indexing, temporary tables, and caching strategies to deal with it, but because of its stand-alone operation, poorly designe and other factors led to the data analysis has many problems such as low efficiency, performance bottleneck, low scalability. Therefore, an efficient design of data analysis which can guarantee the performance and scalability is very necessary. In order to solve the above problems, the paper studies the characteristics of wireless network optimization data, the needs of data analysis and MapReduce which is current big data dealing technology, etc., propose a data analysis method which is based on the MapReduce whiich is a distributed processing model, and then design and development a data analysis platform on the Hadoop platform based on this method which is propose in this paper. It is proved by the testing of platform’s performance that the data analysis platform can efficiently complete the massive data analysis tasks of current wireless network optimization, so the proposed MapReduce-based data analysis method for wireless network optimization is reasonable and effective.
