In the field of marine engineering, prediction of the structural vibration and noise is an especially important subject. For the submarine, using the conventional algorithm to calculate the vibration and acoustic radiation is very complex and time-consuming, but the surrogate model replaced by high-precision model gives the structural vibration and acoustic radiation results in real time. This paper adopts numerical method to study of research on surrogate models for structure acoustic radiation and underwater target recognition. The main work completed is as follows:The numerical method of underwater structural vibration and acoustic radiation, finite element method and boundary element method are combined to calculate vibration and acoustic radiation of structure. Combining ANSYS with Virtual Lab Acoustics software calculate vibro-acoustic of submarine structure model. Firstly, modal and response analysis are carried out by ANSYS software, and use Virtual Lab Acoustics software to solve structural acoustic radiation.The surrogate models based on the kriging model are applied to predict resonant frequency and corresponding sound power level of underwater submarine structure. These surrogate models can give the vibro-acoustic response results in the whole design space in real time. First, sample points are selected based on modified optimal symmetric Latin hypercube sampling method, then calculates the response of sample points, finally the surrogate model based on the kriging model and verified.The surrogate models based on the kriging model are applied to underwater submarine recognition. The kriging model can recognize the classification of submarine with high speed and high accuracy.It is necessary to consider the influence of parameter variation on the vibro-acoustic response of the structure. Take for example an underwater stiffened plate, the surrogate models can calculate acoustic radiation of sample points with high speed and high accuracy. In addition, the mean and variance of sound power are showed.
