In the application circumstances such as exploring the unknown environment without people, detecting dangerous sites, analyzing poison gas concentration, we all should master the Environmental information, including gas concentration, temperature, humidity, gas composition, etc. Detecting unknown environmental information then build environmental information map has very important research and practical value. Recently, with the development of robotics related technologies and multi-robot collaboration technology, Multi-robot cooperative sensing technology in the field of unknown environment has been gradually developed, is now a research hotspot.The purpose of this paper is to design a group of mobile robots carrying environmental perception sensors, supported by the wireless communication network, Synergies through collaboration between robots to complete sensing for the unknown environment. Through the feedback of information we can build an environmental information map. First, brief history of the development about the mobile robots, an introduction of the multi-robot system’s main research content and trends as well as its application in the environment is given. The focal point of this design is to design a set of wheeled robots to detect and feedback temperature and humidity information of a specific environment, especially, programs and implementation.
