With the widespread application of smartphone in our daily life, security issue of the mobile phone has risen. And mobile phone virus hasn’t yet received enough attention from different social sectors. But in terms of mobile user scale and mobile phone network distribution in the future, damage and economic loss caused by an explosion of mobile phone virus are unprecedented. Therefore, the study about propagation properties and laws of mobile phone virus is absolutely essential, and propagation model of mobile phone virus is exactly fundamental and effective method to research on mobile phone virus.Though traditional epidemic models have successfully been incorporated into the field of computer virus, it cannot be directly implied to the research on mobile phone virus. The reason for it is that the propagation environment of mobile phone virus has its own characteristic. The SMS/MMS and e-mail primarily by which mobile phone virus propagates are based on social network with the features of complex network. And traditional epidemic models don’t consider the topology of network. Therefore, this paper focuses on mobile phone virus which propagates through social network, and put forward with its propagation models. By them, analyze and study the propagation properties of mobile phone virus.Firstly, the fundamental knowledge about mobile phone virus and complex network are introduced, and next typical epidemic models are given. In this foundation combining topology structure of complex network, SIS propagation model and SIR propagation model of mobile phone virus are developed. The former is appropriate for user-tricking virus while the latter is applied for vulnerability-exploring virus. In theory, infection-free equilibrium points to two models are given and the basic reproduction numbers are obtained. According to Floquet theory, the conditions for the stability of infection-free equilibrium are obtained. When the basic reproduction number is less than1, the infection-free equilibrium point is stable. Moreover, we give out the numerical curves corresponding to two models. Through them the correction of theoretical analysis is proved and the impact of degrees of mobile phone points on virus propagation is discussed. Finally, the simulations for two models with discrete-time are carried out. The comparative results demonstrate that numerical curves are almost consistent with simulation curves, and the correction of two models is verified. And the impact of parameters from models on mobile phone propagation is analyzed.
