Optical fiber sensing technology is to follow the progress of optical communication technologyand developed. Due to many advantages of fiber optic sensors, for example, anti-interference ability,environmental adaptability, large scope, etc. So come from so far, in the military, civil, industrialand other fields has been more and more widely used. In the future, as for the sensing performanceof requirements continue to increase,many new sensors will continue to be developed out.Optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR)based on to measure the scattered ligh,its spatialresolution with reduced light pulse width increases, and the bandwidth is proportional to thereceiver, it is for this reason the light signal increased power and noise reduction, thus, OTDRspatial resolution is controlled by the signal to noise ratio and dynamic range.In order to resolve thiscontradiction, based on optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) distributed fiber sensor isproposed.At first, this paper briefly overview the historical background of distributed fiber sensing, theprocess of development and the use of different principles OFDR technology, describes thecharacteristics and advantages of fiber optic sensors; Then, OFDR’S working principle and its keytechnology are discussed in detail, this paper analyzes the main limiting factors of development ofOFDR; This paper further detailed analyzes the principle of distributed optical fiber vibrationsensor positioning algorithm. By comparison with the other, proposed the use of signal correlationlocalization algorithm system solutions; Finally, after this paper briefly introduced backgroundcontent based on the OFDR distributed optical fiber vibration sensor pattern recognition, Firstsignal pattern recognition research status and significance have been described, after characteristicanalysis of passing the experimental collected vibration data used, summed up as long as a suitabletemplate comparison with eigenvalue, we can get the vibration type. Demonstrate the effectivenessof the algorithm.
