WiFi network has been more and more widely used. The positioning based on WiFitechnology is widely researched because it has many advantages, such as simpleimplementation, convenient application, low cost and large signal coverage. This paper usesWiFi to locate indoor airship accurately and fast. The research mainly focuses on positioningalgorithms, including model-based algorithm and position fingerprint database-basedalgorithm. Aiming at some problems, corresponding solutions are proposed.The wireless channel has many characteristics, such as multi-path propagation,multi-interference factors and time variation. The positioning based on received signalstrength (RSS) in WiFi technology can be easily affected. To reduce the influence, an indoorthree-dimensional positioning algorithm based on difference received signal strength (DRSS)is proposed. The wireless signal attenuation model with a parameter of time-varyingenvironment factor is used. Least square estimation (LS) and the way of average are used toreal-timely estimate and modify the parameters.The research on the method based on position fingerprint database includes two parts,the establishment of fingerprint database and the positioning algorithm. A method that usesBP neural network to generate fingerprint database (FD) is proposed to improve the qualityand reduce the work. A positioning algorithm based on fuzzy logic algorithm (FLA) isproposed through analyzing the characteristic of signal values between mobile terminal andreference points. Modified Euclidean distance formula is used to choose important referencepoints. The weights are calculated by fuzzy logic model.The proposed algorithms are simulated and tested in practical environment. The resultsdemonstrate the improvement and effectiveness of proposed methods.
