Application And Research On Vertical Search Technology In Exploration Portal

As one of the primary gateways in China National Petroleum Corporation, information surge in exploration and production information portal reduces query retrieval efficiency on the portal user information, so a better information search technology is in need to enable users to retrieve required information quickly. As a content-specific search engine, vertical search technology make a re-integration on the information in database to achieve the data extracted from the vast amounts of data, and feedback the processed query results. Relative to the general search engines, vertical search technology make a new service model, which is able to target specific areas and populations, and provide more professional and specific search feedback.The key technology of vertical search engines will be studied in this paper. The advantage in the professional field of application analysis of vertical search engines will be get on the comparison between general search engines and vertical search engines. In consideration of the application requirements in Exploration and production portal, vertical search technology will be applied in the portal. Design of search engine in the exploration and production portal design by application analysis, also completed the design and application on search engine web crawler, web analysis, indexing, retrieval module design and implementation. The use of vertical search technology in the exploration and production portal can effectively integrate information resources and enhance the relevance of parsing through web content resources, which make users to easily access information in specific areas, and exert a better role of information, and make exploration and production able to achieve a one-stop portal search and navigation services. Finally it gets a further enhance level of exploration and production of information services portal.
