The Research Of Gesture Recognition Algorithm Based Onandroid Platform

Since it was born, intelligent mobile phone has been developing rapidly.Nowadays, the popular mobile oprating systems are iOS, Android and WindowsPhone of Microsoft, Among them, Android System occupy the largest share which isused by the largest users due to it’s publicity and powerful function.Companied with prominent function, user experience and user interface is anotherimportant development of direction. Intelligent cell phones are equipped withoperating system and touching screen, users can operate it with fingers such as slidingto unlock, handwriting character inputting. But these functions are limited, they onlyallows people to draw gestures but not define them. So, in order to improve friendlyinterface, this article make a deep research on gesture recognition base on Androidplatform. With that help, users can define their own gesture draws freely and extractthem. The article’s main work is as follows:a) This article makes a deep research on intelligent phones development andpoints out the development situation and the features of Android system.Meanwhile, this article the intruduces the shortage of intelligent phones.b) This article makes a comprehensive research on gesture draw algorithm, itfaced on distance algorithm to identify draws. A new extracting drawings’feature is proposed, that is searching value of feature vector. Meanwhile,binding other values to determine feature vector. This article explains theconcept of distance algorithm by writing and pictures and extract the featurevector. It provides a theory basement for the following work.c) This article designs a structure and process of verification program, elaboratethe relationship of the schedules and makes a design for database.d) This article introduces the concept of Android platform and explains theprocess of building Android platform. Meanwhile, it points out the concept ofSQLite, designs program to check the algorithm and provides the property ofthe interface. By using of pictures to explain the correctness of the algorithm.With the gesture recognition algorithm, user interface’s experience can be enhanced and it is flexible to use mobile phone by define user’s own gesture pictures.
