MIMO-OFDM technology fully combines the advantages of MIMO technology and the OFDMtechnology, which is applied to the LTE system. This technology improved channel utilization rateand anti-jamming capability. Channel estimation techniques is a key technology for accuratereceiver for receiving, so channel estimation technique of MIMO-OFDM system has received theextensive attention of the researchers. This paper mainly studies the channel estimation techniques of MIMO-OFDM system. Non-blind channel estimation of MIMO-OFDM system requires a lot of training sequences, but blindchannel estimation of MIMO-OFDM systems do not need to send training sequence at thetransmitting and can greatly enhance the capacity of the channel bandwidth utilization rate. Theclassic blind channel second-order statistics estimation technique of MIMO-OFDM system utilizesthe orthogonal characteristics of the signal subspace and noise subspace. We can minimize thequadratic equation to estimation the channel. The improved blind channel estimation algorithm isstudied in this paper named SOSRI algorithm, this algorithm added a repeat factor, and we can useless received symbols for better channel estimation accuracy. What’s more, improved SOSRIchannel estimation algorithm is studied in this paper, the improved algorithm makes the value ofrepeated factor wider, and can use less received symbols to make accurate channel estimation.Besides, the simulation comparation of the improved algorithm and classic algorithm is given inthis paper. From the point of the simulation results, the improved algorithm can use less receivedsymbols for better channel estimation results. The last chapter, various modules of the LTE system are studied, the improved blind channelestimation algorithm is applied to the LTE uplink, which improved the bandwidth utilization rate ofsystem and anti-jamming ability at the receiving end.
