With the rapid development of the Internet, particularly the arrival of the era of web2.0, dramatic changes have taken place in social networks-Microblogging has become one of people’s primary means of interaction and communication. Meanwhile, microblogging systems with immediate, interactive and unlimited propagation characteristics provide a great convenience for the dissemination of abnormal information with specific purpose, such as creating rumors to vilify competitors. This information is easy to mislead users, harming business and society. This study helps to seek insight of this phenomenom.This paper focused on the study of dissemination of abnormal information with specific purpose with an empirical study of crowdturfing activities on Sina Weibo in the hope to acquire thorough understanding. The main work includes:first, proposed a hierarchical model, of the organizational system of users sending abnormal information and validated the model; second, analyzed the information diffusion and its associated accounts by the means of machine learning methods-obtaining data from the retweet list of influential accounts, classifying the accounts and then analyzing the features of them; third, visualized information diffusion on the Sina Weibo, which displayed the difference between the dissemination of abnormal information with specific purpose and normal information.The paper proposed a method to detect the abnormal accounts from organizational level and provided new ideas for further detection.
