In recent years, in order to meet people’s new requirements, radio and television network operators have been upgrading the existing coaxial cable network by the way of bidirectional transformation, so that the network can provide people new business. With the growing number of users, radio and television network operators encountered a big problem when open business, manual editing configuration files is inefficient, configuration files stored on a fixed configuration file distribution server is not only unable to meet response time when large users parallelly visit but also caused a lot of resources waste.To solve the above problems, this paper studied and proposed mechanisms for dynamically generating and distributing terminal configuration file under DOCSIS/PacketCable network environments. Taking into account that the characteristics of content and format of the DOCSIS/PacketCable configuration file,this paper use a text editor to edit business information block configuration file entries, do binary conversion, build a binary configuration file blocks of business information, find the corresponding binary configuration file blocks based on the user’s business information, generate dynamic combination in the method of combination, it can flexible and efficient generateing configuration files for the user’s terminal. Taking into account that the features of DOCSIS/PacketCable terminal initialization and configuration process, this paper use the load balancing cluster server based file distribution system, because of the use of load balancing scheduling server to dynamically generate configuration files, it can be a good guarantee to the file server allocation request, and is an effective solution to the waste of file distribution servers’ resource. Use the mechanisms of dynamically generating and distributing terminal configuration file under DOCSIS/PacketCable network environments, can greatly enhance the radio and television network operator’s management efficiency.
