With the rapid development of the mobile communication technology, more and more people have entered the mobile Internet era. Compared to2G networks, the speed in3G networks has been significantly improved. Many users have changed the way in using mobile network from simply browsing the website to using a variety of network applications such as online video, online entertainment and online office. It is obvious that the development of the mobile Internet has changed people’s living habits. As a result, the users’requirements on network and service quality are being increased gradually. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp the network performance and users’behavior in order to resolve the network problems timely and provide more targeted services to users. This thesis selects signaling packets on IUPS interface for analysis. The IUPS interface is an important part which connects the wireless part and wired part in3G network. The users’information can be included in this interface without containing a complicated signaling process. The first chapter describes the development of3G network. The second chapter introduces the protocol stack and main communication processes in IUPS interface. The third chapter illustrates the design and implementation of pluggable packet parser which mainly focus on parsing the packet. The system parses the packet dynamically by different plugs which stand for different protocol. This system not only can parse the packet in3G network but also can be extended to4G network. The implementation of signaling matching system for IUPS interface is described in the fourth chapter. The matching system will be worked together with the pluggable packet parser. The IUPS signaling packets are matched according to different users and the result will be outputted to a log. The matching system uses hash table which is in templete form to match the signaling packets. Such structure is also easy to extend. The logs are analyzed in the fifth chapter. Some conclusions can be drawn by analyzing the duration of matching process, matching success rate and finish state. In the last chapter, this thesis gives a summary and outlook on signaling research in mobile network.
